Changing our Thoughts by Interrupting the Pattern

by Jo Wilkie

As you all know, I am currently working toward my certification in coaching. Let me just say, right here, how much I LOVE working with her and her team of Master Coaches. They are the most amazing bunch, ever. This last weekend, I went to a meet & greet in Phoenix and boy, what a love fest!

So, things have been quiet over here on the Yoga blog, but don’t go away! I intend to keep posting here – not only Yoga things, but also links to my new coaching blog! YAY! It’s up and running! In the last few weeks, I’ve written a few blog posts. One on the magic of change, and another on practical ways to change our thinking and loosen up our tightly held beliefs.

As I am going through this process of defining who my “people” are (like you guys) and how I can best serve, I really, really, really GET that my work as a Yoga teacher absolutely dovetails with my work as a coach. I have found that the only way to get to the root of a challenge is to be relaxed and calm. Whether you practice Yoga or a different mindful art, the fact is that a relaxed body helps to relax the mind. From there, it’s much easier to explore change and move toward the life you really want to be living.

If you are so inclined, I would love it if you signed up for the or subscribed to the blog. And, if you haven’t checked it out yet, take a look at my new website.

This quote came across my inbox this morning, and I will close with it:

“Given what is important to me, what am I willing to do and experience to move me in that direction, in this moment?” -Kevin Polk
