For information regarding A Healthier Tomorrow, it all begins with proper nutritional knowledge. Some basic tips that we cover in the Healthier Tomorrow campaign is the following:
- Eating nutrient rich foods
- Eat Whole Grains, Fruits, and Vegatables
- Moderate portions
- Maintain healthy weight
- Regular Meals
- Reduce or eliminate bad foods
- Balance food intake
- Understand diet pitfalls
- Make regular and gradual diet changes
- Not all foods are good foods
Most people simply overlook the fat aspect. While we focus so much on caloric intake in our diets, dietary fat on the other hand is often overlooked. Its important to note that fat is important and an essential nutrient that we need in order to stay healthy.
Fat is an energy source that help care fat soluble vitamins for growth and development. It also plays an important part in taste and the textural qualities of food.
Obviously, everything within moderation. Too much fat can increase the risk of heart disease, obesity, and other life altering problems.
